Certificate in Advanced Adlerian Psychotherapy

This program promotes an in-depth knowledge and encourages application of a most authentic Adler Psychology with those trained in Adlerian psychology, those who seek to find a philosophical home to their practice, and everyone who seek to expand their professional skills and competence in the process of effective and lasting healing. Five Core Courses
  1. Adlerian history and philosophy
  2. Humankind and Authentic Adler
  3. Life Movement – normal and neurotic
  4. Extreme and useless life movement –psychosis, serious crime, and suicide
  5. Professional Identity and relationships
  • Each course lasts two months (two full days in person or an online equivalent)
  • Integrative Individual Experience. This is a one-to-one experience that participants have with a special instructor during the course or upon its completion.
  • Intensives. This is credited participation in major Adlerian training events, i.e. ICASSI, NASAP, other substantive trainings. It also may include intensive workshops sponsored by the Adler Academy of MN.
  • Five courses may be taken as a sequence or separately
  • Two options: face-to-face or online (for core courses only)
Certificate requires a total of 120 hours of intensive personal and professional work. Credits and Accreditation * Adler Academy does not offer graduate credits.  The hours earned in studies can be applied for Continuous Education Units (CEUs).  Each course will qualify for 20 CE hours.  
Adler Academy of MN Certificate in Advanced Adlerian Psychotherapy is sponsored by the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP). NASAP is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists.  NASAP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
The North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5263. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NASAP is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
